I should be pleased
they all like me
no one has a bad word to say
it is a compliment I know
so why does it feel
more like a slap in the face
he is fond of me
and so are all the others
do they talk about me
when I cannot hear
am i a topic of discussion
it is good they are fond of me
they tell me I am intelligent
they tell me I am sexy
they are all so fond of me
it makes me cry they are so fond of me
what am to them ?
am I their little sister?
am I their pet?
No I am none of these things
but that is how it makes me feel when
I hear how fond they are of me
I know they mean well as they say

I completely understand. Fond is not quite what we want to hear. It's pleasant. But that's it.
Fond sucks, where's their balls?
Either say yes or no don't piss about prevaricating with fond.

With you on this lady. Though at the same time I think its an honourable sentiment. I guess sometimes we want more than lukewarm, and fond is only ever that!
